Prologue

Year 4 of the Keian Era. Edo. During an investigation of a town overrun by supernatural beings, Master meets a lone swordsman. Two encounters―one with the youth calling himself Miyamoto Iori; one with the warrior Yui Shousetsu and the Servant she orders to attack him―bring about a new battle known as the Waxing Moon Ritual. The final pair to survive the ritual shall be granted the omnipotent wish-granting device: the Waxing Moon. A battle to the death of Masters and Servants. Let a new story of the same stars be told here... This event story was written by Jin Haganeya! Through collaboration with an external writer, we get to share new sides to the world of Fate/Grand Order with you!

The 4th year of the Keian Era, Edo Period. Forty-eight years had passed since Ieyasu, the sovereign of Japan, opened the capital to the Tokugawa shogunate. The reign of the Tokugawa was passed down to the fourth Shogun, Ietsuna. The number of people living in Edo increased day by day, and the city seemed to be enjoying its prosperity. However, due to a succession of dissolutions and revocations by the feudal lords, the streets were filled with ronin, and the peaceful days of Edo seemed to be fading.
